 The audio drama Tempest Runner by Cavan Scott is, in a word, fantastic. Set in the High Republic era of the Star Wars universe, it focuses on Tempest Runner Lourna Dee, one of the leaders of the Nihil. Set after the disastrous events of The Rising Storm and the Republic Fair, we get a glimpse into the backstory, the ‘fall’ and subsequent rise (possibly higher than ever) of the feared Twi’lek woman. Prior to listening to the audio drama, I was curious about Dee’s character, but I wasn’t sure about her all that much. After listening, however, I was in awe of her backstory and what will happen next with her character! More Lourna Dee content can’t come fast enough. Now, thankfully I don’t tend to care what people think about me, which really helped as I listened to the majority of this audiobook when I was in public. I have a lifelong passion for reading and writing, and talking about the things that I enjoy.
